Official Program – Sculpture Bermagui 2018
This is our 12th year and our Program is gathering new elements to offer to our locals and visitors.
Prominent amongst these are workshops for children, young and older, to delve into our local Yuin culture, our local First Nations community. Called ‘Wrapped’, it encourages imagination to conjure new creations from existing large and small objects once they our enclosed in traditional and modern materials of various types. These in turn may be gathered together to form as yet unknown shapes that tell a group story to onlookers and those involved, too.
Fire features even more in the Outdoor exhibition this year and the Torchlight Tours happen again, as well as daytime guided tours which can take place by arrangement. Also, check the Program for the dates of the Starlight Conversations with exhibiting artists.
This year, we have scheduled an evening Symposium over dinner at a local venue with stunning views and comfortable ambience. Four artists who have works on display indoors and out, will share their experiences and ideas and answer your questions over coffee and dessert. There are limited spaces, so book early to ensure your place.
Overall, we see this as a broad and varied program of art, music, fire, food, nature and inspiration. Come join us and indulge yourself in excellence in sculpture, and more, on the unspoilt Sapphire Coast.
See you here from 9 to 18 March
